The game is never finished.
A puzzle hit isn't a launch — it's a living system you tune every week. The core loop is the song; the meta loop, the economy, the events, and the offers are what keep millions of people coming back to play it. At Ludaxis we build music-driven puzzle games and run them as a service, and we're looking for a product owner to own that system end to end — and the numbers underneath it.
What you’ll own
The live game as a product. The economy — sources, sinks, lives, currency — balanced so it never starves players or stops earning. The live-ops calendar: events, tournaments, limited-time offers, the cadence that drives D1 to D30. The backlog and the roadmap, turned into sprint-ready work the squad can ship. And the experiment pipeline — almost everything ships as an A/B test with a hypothesis, a guardrail, and a clear read. You'll partner with design, engineering, UA, and audio, and make the hard call every time: ship it, tune it, or kill it. Ideas earn their place on the data, not in a deck.
You
- Have owned the metrics of a live free-to-play mobile title — and moved retention or ARPDAU through shipped experiments, not slideware
- Live by the numbers — D1 / D7 / D30 retention, LTV, ARPDAU, ARPPU, payer conversion, churn-by-level — and can read a funnel and a retention curve like sheet music
- Design and balance F2P economies — sources and sinks, currency flows, offers — and can feel when one is starving or bloated before the dashboard confirms it
- Model economies and forecast offers in spreadsheets, and pull your own data in SQL without waiting on an analyst
- Design A/B tests with real rigor — hypothesis, sample size, guardrails, significance — and roll out the winners
- Run a live-ops calendar and a content cadence — events, tournaments, limited-time offers — tuned for flow and retention
- Own a backlog with agile discipline — sprint-ready stories, clear priorities, a squad that always knows what is next and why
- Are fluent in analytics tools — Amplitude, GameAnalytics, Tableau / Looker, Sensor Tower — and competitive teardowns
- Are AI-native, not AI-curious — you query data, synthesize player research, prototype, and draft specs with AI, and know exactly where your judgment is the thing a model can't replace
- Lead cross-functionally — design, engineering, UA, art, audio — without direct authority, and frame every trade-off in a sentence
- Are at home with ambiguity, autonomy, and a small team that ships
Bonus points for shipped puzzle / casual hits, deep live-ops and monetization experience, UA and unit-economics fluency (CPI, ROAS, payback), and a feel for music theory or rhythm. A degree in business, economics, or CS is welcome — but the work speaks louder.
Why Ludaxis
A founder who's spent 10+ years shipping F2P hits. The backing of Amanotes. Real ownership of a real game from day one. And a studio quietly obsessed with craft — flow, near-miss pacing, designed difficulty, the details that separate good from great.
If you read a retention curve and immediately know which lever to pull, let's talk.
